I will be remaining on board the ship during the raid.

If any strays make it as far as me, rest assured they will be cut down.

You heard the Captain!

I want to see everybody at their appropriate stations immediately.

Don't even consider being lackadaisical about this, because I will be checking and I will be doing so shortly. If I see so much as a single Powder Monkey lingering in the corridors when they should be looking over the guns, there will be consequences and they will be severe.

This is not the time to be disobeying the Captain's orders or taking matters into your own hands, because heaven knows we all know how effective that can end up being.

It seems that this ship really is fraught with disaster and dogged by trouble. It doesn't seem to be able to do anything without some setback, minor or otherwise, nipping at it's heels. I admit, it is certainly interesting to see the 'curse', as it were, first hand.

Still, we must get our captain back.

It seems that goading the kidnappers was a good strategy, if an unorthodox one. Nevertheless, odd as it was, it seems to have worked well enough to convince them to accidentally give away their location.

The question is, do we head out en masse and simply pluck our hapless leader from their grasp, or do we go to the effort of actually formulating a plan? I dare say their level of organisation skills make it so the latter is not required, but it may be better to be safe than sorry.

Especially when their combined intelligence level is as questionable as it is. It would be unfortunate if they made good on their threats.

The cactuar release was successful and all of the information obtained from the experiments has been logged and drawn up correctly.

That aside...

I have to wonder where Larxene has got to; I haven't seen her for some time. Perhaps she has found something more interesting to do with her time than sit around and listen to news concerning the races. I must admit, I am finding the entire situation quite wearing of late, especially in light of that unusual energy burst.

[Public]

Miss Anthy, I apologise for my abrupt departure during our last meeting, but I trust you liked the seeds? I must say that I'm curious as to whether you've had the time to plant them yet.

On a semi-related note, have you had the good fortune of finding the Greenhouse at the fair? It's an unusual location for something of that nature, I admit, but it is full of some of the prettiest desert flowers I've seen in some time.

If you managed to find the time to go and have a look round and didn't feel comfortable going alone, I would be more than happy to accompany you.

Everybody seems to be looking forward to the races, and rightly so. Good luck to the pilots of the 4423. I'm sure you'll have no problem out-racing those from the Victoria II.

Thank you for pointing out the stuck Cactuar. It has been cleaned up and seems to be in a better temper following that.

[Filtered to Anthy // Moderately Hackable]

I hope that your herb growing endeavor is going well. I thought you might be interested to know that the Siebenbur flowers are coming along nicely and they are already glowing rather prettily. If you have a free moment at any point, I would be happy to bring them to show you.

[Filtered to Larxene // Unhackable]

I need you to electrocute the Cactuar, if it is at all possible. Tests have been going well concerning elemental susceptibility, but I haven't yet tried that one.

[Private // Unhackable]

I'm glad to see that the Cactuar responds to me in the same way as other plants. Still, it is ridiculously trusting. I really must make the effort to finish the experiments before we leave the Badlands, so it can be released rather than handed over to Larxene.

How tragic. For a President to be murdered, and in such a terrible way... this is truly a solemn occasion.

[Filter // 4423 // Unhackable]

However, I'd like to see them try and blame this ship for that one. Though, it's always possible that they will accuse us of having caused the Cactuar stampede ourselves to slide an oh-so-convenient alibi into place. The combined efforts of our own crew and that of the Winding Way may have saved Bydan from certain disaster, but we should hope that we don't feel the backlash from such a public affair.

[Filter // Locked to Larxene // Unhackable]

Well now, isn't that a turn out for the books? Let's see just how deep the bad reputation of this ship runs, shall we? I don't know about you, but I'll be counting down the hours until our collective four-digit name gets pulled up as the likely culprit.

Well, from the deck, it looks as though the majority of the Cactuar are dead.

[slightly disappointed sounding]

...

It's such a shame I probably won't have the opportunity to get my hands on a live one.

Cactuars...? Really? This is interesting.

I really rather need to get on deck to see this.

It's just a shame that they're not Malboros.

One thing I did not expect when I boarded this ship was to find a crew member with an interest in plants and flowers. I can't say that it disappoints me, either. To the contrary, it gives me a good reason to enjoy my stay here. Gardening is a worthy pursuit at the best of times, but when you have somebody to share it with it only improves.

As such, I should make an effort to head into town to see what seeds and cuttings I can procure. I meant to do it earlier, but with Larxene's endless whining it wasn't worth the effort.

I'm also glad that I can find my way around the ship a little more easily, now. I must say, it certainly has an interesting crew.

It’s only proper to introduce myself to the crew now that I am part of it, so I will take this opportunity to do so.

I am Marluxia and I will be acting as a new Quartermaster. I have already met a few of you, but I look forward to meeting those that I haven’t yet met in person, when the first chance arises.

Despite the reputation attached to this ship, I'm sure it will be a pleasure to work on board.

It’s unfortunate that you got stuck with such a lowly position, but I trust you’ll behave, won’t you?
